Understanding children's dentistry.
Children's dentistry is about caring for young teeth while building a lifelong comfort with the dentist.
We keep visits calm and friendly, taking time to explain things in a way children understand. From first teeth through to the mixed baby-and-adult stage, we watch how your child's smile is developing and catch small issues early, before they become bigger worries.
Dr. Mandy has a real gift with children and nervous young patients, meeting them at their level and never rushing. Alongside gentle check-ups, we offer fluoride treatments to strengthen enamel, fissure sealants to protect against decay in back teeth, and friendly guidance on brushing and habits like thumb-sucking. The aim is healthy teeth and a child who feels safe in the chair.
Happy visits, healthy habits.
We keep dental visits gentle and friendly, so children feel safe in the chair and grow up seeing the dentist as nothing to fear — building habits that last a lifetime.

Is this right for you?
- Your child is due for their first dental visit or check-up

What to expect, step by step.
A friendly welcome
We give your child time to settle in and get comfortable, letting them meet Dr. Mandy and the chair before anything happens.
Gentle check-up
Dr. Mandy examines your child's teeth and gums carefully, explaining each step in simple, reassuring words as she goes.
Protect and strengthen
Where helpful, we apply fluoride to strengthen enamel or fissure sealants to shield the grooves of back teeth from decay.
Tips for home
We show your child how to brush well and share practical advice on diet and habits to keep their smile healthy.
Plan the next visit
We recommend when to come back, usually every six months, so we can keep an eye on their developing smile.
Children's Dentistry, answered.
Ideally around their first birthday or when their first teeth appear. Early visits are short and friendly, mostly about getting your child used to the dentist.
Absolutely. Dr. Mandy is wonderful with anxious children, going slowly and gently so they feel safe. Many nervous children leave far more relaxed than they arrived.
Yes. Sealants are a thin protective coating over the grooves of back teeth, where decay often starts. They are quick, painless and can noticeably lower the risk of cavities.
They do. Healthy baby teeth help your child eat, speak and hold space for adult teeth. Looking after them now helps the adult teeth come through well.
Usually every six months, though we may suggest a different interval depending on your child's needs. Regular visits help us catch any problems early.
